Meditation Set: Zafu and Zabuton

I was introduced to meditation about 10 years ago by a colleague. The first book I purchased and studied was Mindfulness: An Eight Week Plan for Finding Peace in a Frantic World by Mark Williams and Danny Penman. I learned a lot from these lessons and enjoyed the guided meditations available on their website. I graduated to the Calm App when it came out. I prefer guided meditations for my daily practice.

I used to sit on the edge of my big comfy chair in my library while I meditated. I’ve learned to meditate just about anywhere; however, I love the setting of my library. It’s my favorite room in the house and it simply brings me a peaceful feeling being surrounded by my beautiful books. I decided I wanted to purchase a meditation cushion. I figured if I’m going to be a yogi, I might as well do it right. My husband gave me a meditation set Zafu and Zabuton for Christmas. It’s absolutely beautiful and comfortable! It’s cool that it’s filled with buckwheat hulls. They make a neat sound when I fluff it up after use. I put my meditation set in my library so I still meditate with my books. My husband purchased the meditation set on Etsy from a shop in the Ukraine, Hemp Organic Life. Their shop has a lot of other items too. I highly recommend the meditation set and this Etsy shop.
