Blame (by Jeff Abbott)

Blame by Jeff Abbott is a uniquely plotted psychological thriller. It’s filled with suspense, a neighborhood full of people keeping secrets, and a lot of suspicion. The deeper I got into this book, the less characters I trusted. Everyone was a suspect!

We meet Jane Norton two years after her car accident that left her neighborhood best friend, David, tragically dead. Jane has amnesia that wiped her memory for the three years prior to the accident. She has to relearn so many things about herself and the people surrounding her. She gets reacquainted with her newer friends and has to be re-told that her father died.

Initially, people are sympathetic to Jane’s struggles. Once what appears to be a suicide note written by Jane is revealed, almost everyone turns against her. She decides to take measures into her own hands to determine what happened the night of the accident. This move takes the story on an adventure. One that will reveal who Jane can trust and those she shouldn’t.

I purchased the audiobook of Blame from Audible. Great narration by the cast of Bailey Carr, Lauren Fortgang, Greg Tremblay, and Vanessa Johannson.
