Brave New World (by Aldous Huxley)

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley has been on my radar for quite a while and I’ve seen lots of glowing reviews. I’ve been cautious about reading it because I didn’t think I would like it. I’m not a reader of many sci-fi novels and the description of this book gave me those vibes. Even if my interpretation is completely inaccurate.

I finally decided to try it and moved it near the top of my audiobook TBR after recently seeing positive comments about it on X. I was wisely advised that I wouldn’t know if I liked it, until I gave it a try. I chose the audiobook format with narration by Michael York.

I gave it a fair shot by listening to one hour and 20 minutes before I pulled the plug. I just couldn’t get into it. The book description stated that it’s relevant to our current events. That part seemed interesting, and I wish I could have had a different experience with this book. So, I gave it a shot and it’s just not for me. At least not at this time.
