Bright Side Bookshop (Flagstaff, Arizona)
My husband and I recently embarked on a vacation to Sedona, Arizona. We drove up the iconic winding road, 89A, which offers spectacular views of the red rocks and Coconino National Forest. Our destination was the wonderful, historic downtown Flagstaff, where we could browse the shops and explore the area.
My favorite place to shop is the Bright Side bookshop. They boast an excellent selection of genres and local interests. What sets them apart is their practice of displaying single copies of books on their shelves instead of multiple copies of the same book. This approach allows them to have a much larger selection, making browsing a truly enjoyable experience. It was heartwarming to see the bookstore bustling with patrons. Although I rarely purchase books when traveling by air, I couldn’t resist getting a signed copy of Elizabeth Gilbert’s latest memoir, ‘All the Way to the River.’
On my book blog, I also have an Adventure Blog section where I document our various travels. I wrote about our incredible time in Sedona, which included hiking, visiting the meteor crater, exploring Jerome, and browsing bookstores. You’re welcome to check out my blog post and read more about our experience in Flagstaff here.
