The Final Score (by Don Winslow)

Don Winslow was expected to retire from writing books after completing the Danny Ryan trilogy in 2024. Fortunately, he didn’t. In 2025, I discovered that he had written a collection of short stories titled The Final Score. I recall that he managed to write these stories in secret, without the pressures of the publishing house. I can only imagine how liberating that must have been.

My favorite bookstore to purchase signed first edition books is The Poisoned Pen, located in the beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. They managed to send me a wonderful signed first edition of The Final Score. I’m excited to add this to my collection and read an unexpected book by one of my favorite thrilling crime writers.
