Confessions on the 7:45 (by Lisa Unger)

Confessions on the 7:45 is a great suspenseful, thriller! I loved listening to every minute. Lisa Unger’s introduction of many characters instantly got my mind whirling and trying to figure out how, if at all, these characters were tied to each other. It was confusing, but in a good way. I like it when a story makes my mind work to solve a puzzle.

Selena, a married mom of two young children, works late one night and strikes up a conversation with a random woman on the train. Martha divulges her secret of having an affair with her married boss. Selena shares that she suspects her husband of having an affair with their nanny. Selena’s life rapidly spirals out of control when the nanny disappears.

This story begins with the affairs and goes much deeper than expected. It was a wild, tense journey. Lisa created an unusual story that stands out in this genre. I also like how she ended the book. The last few sentences were my favorite. I like what she did there. If you haven’t read this already, you may want to check it out to find out what I mean. 😉

The audiobook is narrated by Vivienne Leheny and she does an excellent job!
