All reviews are based on my honest thoughts and opinions. I am open to considering offers from authors and publishers to review books in exchange for a free copy of the book. However, I may not accept every offer, and acceptance does not guarantee a review.

What Books Do I Review?

I am most inclined to accept offers for adult books within the genres I prefer to read; literary fiction, historical fiction, horror, true crime, memoirs, suspense/psychological thriller, and mystery. To be fair to both parties, I am unlikely to review anything outside of these genres.

Please note: I only review adult titles. I do not accept children's, middle grade, or YA submissions.

How Long Does It Take Me To Write The Reviews?

Due to the volume of submissions I receive, I'm only able to personally respond to the requests I accept, usually within 48 hours. If you haven't heard from me within a couple of weeks, it likely means I'm not able to take on your book at this time — but thank you for thinking of me! I cannot guarantee that I will review any book within a specific time frame. If you have a specific date in mind for the review to be posted, please inform me, and I will evaluate my availability accordingly.

To ensure I have ample time to read my extensive TBR list for pleasure, I have implemented a policy of accepting only one to two book review submissions per month. I keep the status at the top of this page current, so check there to see whether I'm open or closed to new submissions.

In my book reviews, I disclose where I obtained a copy of the book. When reviewing a book submission, I explicitly state that I received a copy in exchange for an honest review. My reviews are thoughtful, detailed, and constructive. I acknowledge the significant effort invested in writing a book. While I do not provide ratings on my blog, I rate books on Goodreads, LibraryThing, The StoryGraph, and Litsy. It is important to recognize that not all books will resonate with every reader.

I retain the right to discontinue reading a book at any time if I am not enjoying it. If this happens, I will let you know, and I may still write about the book on my blog and explain why it wasn't the right fit for me at this time. These posts are meant to be honest, not harsh or personal — my goal is always to explain my reading experience, not criticize the author.

Where do I post my reviews?

All reviews will be published on my blog, social media accounts, the Litsy app, Goodreads, LibraryThing, and The StoryGraph. Please be advised that all reviews are also included in my monthly newsletter. You may subscribe to my newsletter by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page or selecting the checkbox when submitting the request form.

What formats do I accept?

I accept Advance Reader Copies (ARCs) and already published books in paperback, hardback, eBook (Kindle or ePUB/PDF for iBooks), and audiobook format.

What should you include in your review request?

When submitting your review request, please tell me a bit about your book. This should include the title, genre, and synopsis. If you have an anticipated timeline for my review, please inform me so that I can determine my availability. To initiate a review request, just use the form below.
