Killer By Nature (by Jan Smith)

I love reading audiobooks and don’t need a fanciful narration production of characters and sound effects to be impressed. I’m perfectly satisfied with a simple narration and sometimes find the fully dramatized productions a bit overdone. This Audible Original is fully dramatized and produced quite well. I found myself enjoying the narration as much as I enjoyed the story. Dr. Buckley, a freelance forensic psychologist is asked to assist in an investigation of a murder very similar to one of her infamous incarcerated patients. How did the same type of murder occur while the suspect was in custody? Is it a copycat killer? Also, Dr. Buckley may be a bright psychologist, but she definitely doesn’t master work/life balance as a single mom of two teenagers. The ending was clever and impressive. It definitely left me wanting to know what was about to happen next.
