The Six Deaths of the Saint (by Alix E. Harrow)

The Six Deaths of the Saint by Alix E. Harrow was a free listen through my Amazon Prime membership. It’s an Amazon Original short story that I was able to listen to through my Audible membership.

I seldom read books in the fantasy genre, so I think that put me at a total disadvantage for not only liking this short story, but understanding it as well. I absolutely loved Alix’s debut novel, The Ten Thousand Doors of January, so I thought I would really like this one. I guess I should have known better when I didn’t understand the title details summary of the story. I may have also struggled with this because it’s a short story. For me, a lot of short stories are simply too short. This foundation does not provide enough room to explore a story thoroughly enough and often seems to fall flat. Unfortunately, this one wasn’t for me.
