Gene Hackman & Daniel Lenihan
At the time of this book event, I wasn’t very interested in history. As I’ve grown, I certainly appreciate it more now. I was simply drawn to this author event at Joseph Beth booksellers in Lexington, Kentucky to meet Gene Hackman. I had really enjoyed watching him in movies. I didn’t know much about his book, Escape From Andersonville: A Novel of the Civil War, that he coauthored with Daniel Lenihan and I was happy to learn about it.
Gene Hackman and Daniel Lenihan spoke together about their book and entertained questions from the audience before signing books. Understandably, there wasn’t any posed photography with these men. It was still a privilege to meet and speak with them for a brief moment.
