The Bone Farm (by Dean Koontz)

I’ve been neglecting my unread Dean Koontz books, so it was a delight to read The Bone Farm, a prequel novella in the Jane Hawk series. Jane, a sharp FBI agent, races against time to stop a sadistic serial killer who abducts and tortures young women before murdering them. The killer uses creepy rituals involving clocks to escape time. The dual narration provides insight into Jane’s experience and delves into the killer’s twisted mind. The story builds dramatic suspense as Jane and her partner, Gary, strive to catch the serial killer before his latest victim meets her fate.

The Bone Farm is an excellent novella! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Jane as she worked a case as an FBI agent. The serial killer is incredibly creepy and terrifying. I’ve read the first two books in the Jane Hawk series and thoroughly enjoyed them. This makes me eager to dive back into the series.

I purchased the audiobook of The Bone Farm through my Audible membership. Elisabeth Rodgers and James Anderson Foster did an outstanding job narrating the story.
