Joe Hill

Joe Hill is definitely at the top of my list of favorite horror writers. As the son of Stephen King, the apple does not fall far from the tree when it comes to writing some the best books in horror fiction. I was beyond excited when Joe Hill came to my local independent bookstore, Joseph-Beth, in Lexington, Kentucky, for a second book tour. During this visit he was promoting his book of four short novels, Strange Weather.

Joe put on a fabulous author event by talking about Strange Weather, reading from the book, taking questions from the audience, and signing books! He was gracious with his time during the signing line by personalizing books and taking pictures with readers. Joe was also willing to sign additional books that readers brought to the event. I asked him to sign my copy of a Cemetery Dance magazine that is a Joe Hill Special Issue.

Joseph-Beth also sold cool posters created and printed by Cricket Press, a local husband-wife artist team, to commemorate this author event. Each poster is signed by the artist. As a limited edition, each poster is also numbered.
